#3  It is BAD advice to use savings to pay against bills/debts.  That's not what savings is for EVER.  Savings is part of the "Pay Yourself First" plan, which is not mentioned here.

#9 Also, if you borrow against your retirement account, that is the same thing as using credit cards to go to restaurants.  Both ways are mortgaging your future to satisfy today's wants.

Also, why have you not mentioned the most obvious tip of all? WORK ON EARNING MORE MONEY!

Too many "debt advice" articles focus on crap like cutting expenses (which is bogus advice by itself).
